The Hearing Clinic

Started in 1985 as a full-service audiology clinic, The Hearing Clinic is now a well-renowned team of audiologists and our team is highly trained and very experienced. We are focused on delivering optimal hearing solutions for each patient through appropriate hearing aid selection, fitting, counselling, regular checkup and maintenance.

We provide different types of hearing evaluation and hearing aid prescription services for all patients, including those who are covered by Veterans Affairs, Workplace Safety & Insurance Board, and most of the insurance companies.

Sarah Peverley

Audiologist

Sarah Peverley is an Audiologist and registered member of the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Sarah has been helping patients at The Hearing Clinic improve their communication skills with Patient Centered Care since 2002. She has a Masters of Clinical Science in Audiology from the University of Western Ontario and an Undergraduate Degree in Biology and Psychology from McMaster University. She is a registered Authorizer and Dispenser of hearing aids with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Assistive Devices Program (ADP), a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC), The Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Hearing Instrument Specialist

Janice Jeremiah is a Registered member of the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario (AHIP) and a registered Hearing Aid Authorizer & Dispenser with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Assistive Devices Program (ADP). Janice has been helping patients at The Hearing Clinic improve their communication with her extensive knowledge of Hearing Instruments since 1996, graduating from George Brown College in 1996 with her Hearing Instrument Dispensing Certificate and again in 1999 with her Hearing Instrument Specialist Certificate. Janice’s professional and caring approach guides patients through the process of selecting the appropriate hearing aid and ensures its optimal performance.

Mumtaz-Andani

Mumtaz Andani

Hearing Instrument Specialist

Mumtaz Andani is a Graduate of George Brown College Hearing Instrument Specialist (1996) and a Registered member of the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario (AHIP) and a registered Hearing Aid Authorizer & Dispenser with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Assistive Devices Program (ADP). Mumtaz has been helping patients at The Hearing Clinic improve their communication with her extensive knowledge since 1996. Her extensive experience of many years living abroad gives her the empathy and multicultural understanding helping her connect to her patients and provide knowledgeable care guiding you through the process of selecting the most appropriate hearing aids to meet your needs and ensure you are comfortable and confident in their use.

Thaya-Velalagan

Thaya Velalagan

Customer Care Representative

Thaya Velalagan is a Registered member of the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario (AHIP) and a registered Hearing Aid Dispenser. Thaya has the important task of organizing our busy schedule, performing front desk reception duties, seeing patients, fitting hearing aids, providing solutions and most importantly welcoming patients to The Hearing Clinic, she’s been doing this since 2012. Thaya is warm, friendly and patient-focused, taking the time to listen, learn and assess our patient’s needs, providing service and care to improve our patient’s quality of life. Thaya also speaks Tamil.

Tammy-Stennett

Tammy Stennett

Tammy Stennett has a Bachelor’s Degree and is a Registered member of the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario (AHIP) and a registered Hearing Aid Authorizer & Dispenser with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Assistive Devices Program (ADP). Tammy has been helping patients at The Hearing Clinic and improving the quality of their life for more than 17 years. She provides hearing healthcare services including hearing assessments, hearing aid evaluations, programming/adjustments and counseling. Prior to her work at The Hearing Clinic, Tammy worked as a training associate at a hearing aid manufacturer, responsible for training staff on new digital hearing aid technology. Tammy is most excited about how advancements in hearing aid technology have led to more natural sounds and more effortless communication in challenging environments which continues to significantly improve the quality of life for her patients and their loved ones

Shyrose Lalji

Customer Care Representative

Shyrose Lalji has the important task of organizing our busy schedule, performing front desk reception duties and most importantly welcoming patients to The Hearing Clinic, she’s been doing this since 2007 with her friendly smile, and warm personality. Shyrose brings over 17 years of administrative and reception experience, graduating in 2004 with a diploma in Accounting and Business Application, she is very friendly and helpful as she creates a positive experience for each client’s specific needs. Shyrose speaks many languages including Swahili, Kutchi, Gujarati, and Hindi making you feel welcome and right at home when you visit The Hearing Clinic.

Mehrnaz-Keyhani

Mehrnaz Keyhani

Hearing Instrument Practitioner

Mehrnaz Keyhani is an Honors Graduate with an Advanced Diploma in the Hearing Instrument Practitioner Program from George Brown College. She is a Registered member of the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario (AHIP) and a registered Hearing Aid Practitioner with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Assistive Devices Program (ADP). Mehrnaz has been helping clients at The Hearing Clinic improve their communication for more than 18 years. She completes a thorough needs assessment and provides exceptional care for individuals with hearing loss, counseling family members, caregivers and loved ones. Mehrnaz also speaks Farsi, which helps her personally connect with her patients, building trust and compassion to help improve their quality of life.
